Teens 100 Levels (A1 Beginner)

Fall25 - Teens 101 (A1) - Part 1

General French Teens (13-17)
The first year of the Teens 100 (A1) beginner program for 13-17 year olds.

For three quarters, along with the textbook and workbook A la Une 1 and various action-oriented and creative activities, students will learn to construct simple phrases in French. Topics related to everyday life will allow students to introduce themselves and others, to describe their environment, and to express their feelings and preferences.

Prerequisite: none for Part 1. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need to take our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Next course: After completing Part 1 (FALL), 2 (WINTER) and 3 (SPRING) of Teens 101, students can enroll in Teens 102 in the following academic year.
Pace: Regular, 10 weeks, 1h once a week, total of 10h

Fall25 - Teens 102 (A1.2) - Part 1

General French Teens (13-17)
The second year of the Teens 100 (A1) beginner program for 13-17 year olds. Students in the course have some basic skills in French—they can use simple phrases to introduce themselves and describe their environment, feelings, and preferences.

For three quarters, along with the textbook and workbook A la Une 1 and various action-oriented and creative activities, students will strengthen the basic skills learned in Teens 101 while gaining a broader vocabulary. Topics related to everyday life will allow students to discover more verbal phrases. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach.

Prerequisite: To start this course at Part 1, you will need to have completed the course Teens 101 or received a Teens 102 result at our placement test. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need a Teens 102 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Next course: After completing Part 1 (FALL), 2 (WINTER) and 3 (SPRING) of Teens 102, students can enroll in Teens 103 in the following academic year.

Teens 200 Levels (A2 Intermediate)

Fall25 - Teens 201 (A1/A2) - Part 1

General French Teens (13-17)
This is the first year of the Teens 200 (A1/A2) program for 13-17 year olds. For students who have finished the entire Teens 100 (A1) beginner level (101, 102, 103) and are comfortable interacting in French in a simple way—they can speak and write about themselves and their environment in a simple way using present tense only.

For three quarters, along with the textbook and workbook A la Une 2 and various action-oriented and creative activities, students will be able to have a basic conversation in French through topics related to their everyday life and environment. In addition to broadening their vocabulary and strengthening the use of the present, students will be introduced to the future and past tenses and learn how to talk about personal experiences. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach.

Prerequisite: To start at Part 1, we require a 201 result at our placement test, or having completed Teens 103. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need a Teens 201 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Next course: After completing Part 1 (FALL), 2 (WINTER) and 3 (SPRING) of Teens 201, students can enroll in Teens 202 in the following academic year.

Fall25 - Teens 202 (A1/A2) - Part 1

General French Teens (13-17)
The second year of the Teens 200 (A1/A2) program for 13-17 year olds. Students are comfortable interacting in French in a simple way.

For three quarters, along with the textbook and workbook A la Une 2 and various action-oriented and creative activities, students will expand their capacity to talk about themselves and those close to them, and will learn to talk about events in the future and in the past with more precision. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach.

Prerequisite: To start at Part 1, we require a Teens 202 result at our placement test, or having completed Teens 201. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need a Teens 202 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Next course: After completing Part 1 (FALL), 2 (WINTER) and 3 (SPRING) of Teens 202, students can enroll in Teens 203 in the following academic year.

Fall25 - Teens 203 (A1/A2) - Part 1

General French Teens (13-17)
The third and final year of the TEENS 200 (A1/A2) program for 13-17 year olds.

For three quarters, along with the textbook and workbook A la Une 2 and various action-oriented and creative activities, students will strengthen and expand concepts learned in Teens 201 and Teens 202. At this level, students can formulate simple opinions and navigate a variety of familiar situations related to daily life. They can communicate in straightforward ways in the past, present, and future tenses.

Prerequisite: To start this course at Part 1, you will need to have completed the course Teens 202 or received a Teens 203 result at our placement test. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need a Teens 203 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Next course: After completing Part 1 (FALL), 2 (WINTER) and 3 (SPRING) of Teens 203, students can enroll in Teens 301 in the following academic year.

Teens 300 Levels (A2+/B1 Independent)

Fall25 - Teens 302 (A2/B1) - Part 1

General French Teens (13-17)
This is the second year of the Teens 300 (A2/B1) program for 13-17 year olds. Students are comfortable interacting in French and discussing their present, past and future.

For three quarters, along with the textbook and workbook A la Une 3 and various action-oriented and creative activities, students will be able to have a conversation in French through topics related to their everyday life, their past travels and future plans. Students will be introduced to the conditional mood to be able to express more abstract thoughts. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach.

Prerequisite: To start at Part 1, we require a 302 result at our placement test, or having completed Teens 301. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need a Teens 302 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Fall25 - Teens 403 (B1) - Part 1 - Histoires Francophones

General French Teens (13-17)
This is the third and final year of the Teens 400 (B1/B2) program for 13-17 year olds. For students who have finished the Teens 402 level and are comfortable navigating different degrees of formality, talking about their everyday life and environment, and expressing abstract thoughts using complex sentences and vocabulary related to current affairs.

For three quarters, along with the textbook and workbook A la Une 4 and various action-oriented and creative activities, students will strengthen and expand concepts learned in Teens 401 and 402 : present, past, future tenses to talk about their life and conditional and subjunctive moods to discuss current affairs and develop opinions. All activities are conducted mainly in French with an immersive approach.

Prerequisite: To start at Part 1, we require a 403 result at our placement test, or having completed Teens 402. If you wish to start at Part 2 or 3, you will need a Teens 403 result at our placement test, followed by an oral assessment with our Admissions Coordinator.

Next course: After completing Part 1 (FALL), 2 (WINTER) and 3 (SPRING) of Teens 403, students who are 18+ should re-assess their level with our placement test to be placed in an adult class.
