Clock Hours for Teachers

The Alliance Française de Seattle is a Washington State–approved Clock Hour provider for the 2025–2026 academic year. Eligible classes begin at level B1.3 and above and are taught by instructors holding at least a Master’s degree in French.

How to earn Clock Hours:

  1. Enroll in an eligible course. In our course catalogue, you can "Filter by level" and pick Clock Hours Eligible as a course type to see all available courses for that session. Look for the “Clock Hours" logo (below) or the mention "AFSeattle is a Washington State–approved Clock Hour provider in 2025–2026” at the end of the course description when you add the course to your cart.
  2. Notify us upon enrollment. Send an email to info@afseattle.org to indicate your interest in receiving Clock Hours.
  3. Complete your course. Attendance is required for all hours claimed (absences cannot be counted).
  4. Fill out the required survey. At the end of your course, email us to request our Clock Hour survey and complete it, as required by the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
  5. Receive your official form. Once your survey is submitted, an ADA form (SPI 1125) will be issued by AFSeattle for the verified number of hours attended.
